Maldon, Essex – 4th March, 2019 – Woodham Mortimer is delighted to announce that it is the Global Partner for restoration services to the “1000 Miglia” 2019 edition, one of the world’s most prestigious historic racing events.
The partnership makes Woodham Mortimer one of only a handful of companies with Global Partner status, and is the only organisation to partner in the restoration sector. This fantastic news comes soon after Woodham Mortimer announced its position as a major sponsor of the 77th Members’ Meeting at Goodwood.
The 1000 Miglia is a truly historic event that has transitioned from being the world’s toughest competitive road race to its modern status as one of the most demanding yet prestigious retrospective rallies for eligible historic cars. The Woodham Mortimer restoration and race preparation teams have decades of combined experience running cars in the 1000 Miglia, with an unrivalled knowledge of how to prepare a competitive and reliable car, capable of achieving strong results in the event.
The company will run a ‘Partner Team’ of ten immaculately prepared vehicles, the largest number of entries from any single organisation or specialist. Confirmed Woodham Mortimer entries include a number of Jaguar XK120s and 140s, an AC Ace, Lincoln Capri and a Porsche 356 Coupe.
The 1000 Miglia is a challenging event; known as it is for its 1000 miles of mixed roads, from Brescia via Rome back to Brescia, taking in several stunning land marks. With many cars typically falling by the wayside on the route, simply finishing is an achievement, and that is where Woodham Mortimer’s experienced team of experts in endurance rally preparation, play a crucial role in its customers’ success on the event.
