JD Classics are yet again representing the finest craftsmanship and restoration skills, for which we are renowned, with our attendance at this years Concorso D'Eleganza Villa d'Este from May 23rd to May 25th.
Norman Dewis and the World Record Breaking Jabbeke XK120.
On display we will be supporting the stunning 1952 Jaguar XK120, the world famous "Bubble" car. Driven by Norman Dewis on the Jabekke Highway speed trials in Belgium, this is the car which set the world speed record for the flying mile achieving over 172 mph. No mean feat even today. The car was restored by our craftsmen in our Maldon facility. On its first post restoration outing the car was reunited with Norman Dewis during the annual Pebble Beach week in California in 2013. Subsequently the car won " Best in Class" at the prestigious Quail Lodge Concours in the same week.
