None of our tools get a chance to rest over the winter months, as we're too busy preparing cars for the 2008 events calendar.
At the time of writing, we're working on a 1937 genuine ex-competition Brooklands SS100. It's scheduled to compete in this year's Mille Miglia. (Italy's thousand-mile road race is five heady days in mid-May that Enzo Ferrari once dubbed as the world's greatest road race.)
July's Le Mans Classic is the fourth biennial celebration of cars built between 1923 and 1979. Again, we're preparing some exciting classics for this year's retrospective. These include an ex-works Le Mans Porsche 550 Spider as well as an Ecurie Ecosse Lister Jaguar.
Of course, the Ecurie Ecosse race team became famous for winning the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1956 and 1957. So as we're preparing an Ecurie Ecosse Connaught for the Le Mans Classic race event, we're enjoying the extra special feel of pedigree in the air.
We're also completing race specification restoration on our Jaguar XJR 9 Le Mans and two Jaguar XJRIIs. You'll be able to see these cars on show at this year's Le Mans Legends Meeting during the Le Mans 24 Hours weekend.
Meanwhile, we've also rebuilding a delightful SS100 3.5 Litre (chassis number two) to true concours spec, five E Types, 11 XKs, three MKIIs, three Ferraris, an Aston Martin DB4 GT and a DB6 MKII Vantage Volante - one of the most desirable Aston Martins ever produced.
