We’ve recently received this beautiful ‘1961 Jaguar E-Type Series 1, 3.8 Open Two Seater’ into the Showroom and it’s just spectacular.
Carefully and skillfully restored and now available for sale and viewing!
With many Classic Cars it is the first of the Series that is considered most collectible due to the purity in design and lower production numbers, in the case of the Jaguar E-Type this is certainly true.
Legend has it that when it went on display for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show in 1961, none other than Enzo Ferrari remarked that the E-Type (or XKE. in the US) was the most beautiful car he’d ever seen and he knew a pretty car when he saw one - he certainly wasn’t the only one and many are saying the same thing some sixty years later. Designed by a noted aerodynamicist Malcolm Sayer, the E-Type was meant to cheat the wind, but its glass covered headlights, long hood, short rear deck and curvaceous lines also look great.
