We are thrilled to introduce the iconic '1971 Fiat 500 Lusso', is now available at our Chelmsford headquarters.

The Fiat 500L, a cherished member of the Fiat 500 series, was a beloved compact car renowned for its diminutive size and iconic styling. This particular gem was built in 1970 with it's first registration on January 1st, 1971.

The "L" designation signifies "Lusso" or luxury in Italian, denoting an elevated iteration beyond the base model. This entails enhancements such as exquisite chrome detailing, luxury seating and additional interior refinements. The Fiat 500 Lusso boasts a retractable sunroof, distinctively rounded and gracefully contoured exterior, radiating an enduring, iconic charm. Its dainty two-door configuration preserves the enchanting retro aesthetics that the Fiat 500 series is revered for.

Compact in stature, measuring approximately 3 meters (or 9.8 feet) in length and around 1.32 meters (or 4.3 feet) in width, the Fiat 500 Lusso is ideally suited for navigating the narrow thoroughfares of Europe.

Resplendent in the classic Bianco (White) hue, this 500L is fitted with a rear-mounted, air-cooled, inline-twin engine. Typically boasting a displacement of around 0.5 liters, it delivers a modest yet ample horsepower for urban commuting. Complementing this is a manual four-speed gearbox, a favored feature of its era.

This car has undergone a recent, sympathetic restoration which included a full engine rebuild, a meticulous mechanical evaluation, anoriginal colour respray - exterior and interior, fitting of new alloys and white wall tyres, installation of an electronic ignition, conversion to front brake discs, a thorough suspension update and an overall sprucing up, reviving this iconic car back to it's best!

The Fiat 500L distinguishes itself as an adept and agile urban companion, with a keen focus on fuel efficiency.

The Fiat 500 has ascended to the ranks of cultural icon over the years, celebrated for its pivotal role in post-war Italy's automotive landscape and its abiding resonance as an emblem of Italian design. By virtue of its timeless design and historical importance, the Fiat 500 Lusso has emerged as a coveted collector's treasure. Pristine examples can command a premium in the vintage car market! This specimen stands as one of the finest we've ever encountered.
